Grand Union Canal:Cowley

Caroline joined me this morning as the family left.   Having moved the boat yesterday we were all ready pointing down the canal in the right direction, so took off more or less straightaway.  I was mostly overcast with occasional sunshine and good progress was made, overtaking one very slow boat and happy that an inevitably slow widebeam ahead decided to moor up.   We found a mooring for Tesco at Yiewsley to top up on essentials, and then continued the short way to Cowley, stopping short at bridge 189 for a mooring in hand rather than take the chance of finding one closer to the pub.  A good meal in the Malt Shovel.
