Yesterday we met Sid Mason, the Canal & River Trust go to guy for the Liverpool Link. He said that we could go early along with three other boats presently moored at Litherland. It is only an hour 20 minutes from the top of the Stanley Lock Flight where the link properly begins. So we set off at 7:30 along with the others and arrived just in time to see the three boats leaving Liverpool coming up the locks, so we were able, two of us, to use some of that water. We had been advised in the paperwork that all facilities are now user operated but there was a host of volunteers to help on this flight, but the rest needed operating by ourselves. All went well and we were moored up by 11:00.
