Rain overnight and this morning which made things a little sad, however, the main events were lunch and afternoon. Lunch was a new idea - everyone to bring a savoury item to the table. Nothing planned. It turned out to be one of the best buffets I have had. Salads of all descriptions, pies, cheese bread, quiche with pickles of all shapes. Then in the afternoon a Morris dancing workshop given by one of the members who is such a dancer. Of course we weren't dressed up, but there were coloured sticks to wave around. All stupid in its way but enormous fun and hugely gratifying when we completed the set at the end without too many mistakes. Outside we had the usual games, potting tin cans with some interesting weaponry which fired soft plastic slugs. The evening entertainment were songs from Bruce Peckett with another buffet, this time from Lias. A late night!
