The forecast yesterday had given a rather dismal outlook for this morning, but on the day it was the afternoon that turned rotten. So disregarding the forecast we left in the morning and had a chilly windy but dry cruise with sunny spells. There are nicely signed visitor moorings in places of likely interest, such as beautiful views.
The first we encountered was looking over the River Weaver and Winsford Top Flash and further on, Church Minshull and the Weaver again. By 11:00 threatening black clouds were looming. Time to call it a day. We are not in any rush. I took the opportunity in the afternoon to refill the stern tube greaser. What fun!
