We left our mooring in grey damp mist. Soon we were enjoying some sunshine. Not far to go today. The weather forecast was for wind and heavy rain, so a short ride to Stoke Bruerne via Blisworth Tunnel seemed sensible. There was no trouble finding a mooring near to the Canal Museum.
In the long tunnel it was apparent that the tunnel light is not set up correctly, the main beam being slightly up and to the left which must blind opposite direction boats. We passed two and so I turned the light off at the appropriate moment and navigated using the tight beam LED torch. This worked quite well, but without a light, keeping a straight course is impossible. One more job for the future. We ate in "The Boat Inn" this night.
