Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal:Radford Bridge

After lunch it looked as if the weather was clearing so we decided to continue on.  Aguably this was a mistake because it soon became apparent that the wind was still strong and gusting and the rain started all over again.   After half an hour of this we decided to stop again and give up for the day.   Our first attempt at mooring failed due to shallow water, the second attempt failed as we hit a solid underwater obstruction by the edge of the piling, and I mean solid!  We were going very slowly but the boat just stopped dead with a bang.  So knowing that there are decent moorings at Radford Bridge we continued on.   We did find moorings there, and quite sheltered too.   As we had eaten too much already today, comfort eating I suppose, we enjoyed a chicken Caesar salad for supper.
