This end of the Shroppie really is beautiful. The verges are well maintained giving it a manicured look. The nearby properties also seem to take pride in maintaining thier banks.
Saw another workboat out again today. Mostly we never see CRT staff out and about. We are in a bit of a rush as we are putting the boat into the marina to return home for a few days, but definitely on the way back we will have to dawdle round the Beeston area.
Arriving at the marina we were impressed by direction signs to the visitor moorings/pumpout diesel etc. The marina is well laid out and has good facilities. Boats are out of the water being worked on. We saw some replating being done. Tattenhall itself is about 25 minutes walk away with useful shops, although the nearest pup shown on out out of date Nicholsons is closed and boarded up.
