We woke to heavy rain, but by the time we were ready to leave it had stopped and the day turned out quite good. We came up behind nb Tertious Navis at Wharton Lock, had a wild time being thrown around in Beeston Iron Lock (Pat didn't read the red sign first) and Tertious Navis was waiting for us in the Stone Lock. A great couple, envious of the Braidbar. They were destined for the Llangollen. We carried on the the Nantwich embankment to moor for the night. The only significant event was a fishing competition that must have lined at least two miles of the towpath. Reminded me of the Crocodile Dundee film where he is in New York trying to say "G'day" to everyone. Gave up!
