Shropshire Union Canal:Adderley Bottom Lock

An early start with the prospect of the long Audlem flight ahead.   Once you are used to the fierce bywashes typical of this canal there really in no problem other than the traffic.  There were opposite direction boats almost every lock and this time almost always out of synch.   The bywash at the lock above the Shroppie Fly is particularly difficult to counter as it discharges just before a bridge hole.    Plenty of mooring below the next flight at Adderley, but it was full by the evening.
