After a very windy night and early rain shower the sun came out. We had some very strange bangs in the night, like something hitting the roof, so looked out to investigate. Saw nothing strange. Perhaps a bird hit the fan guy lines. Then Alfie woke us because the carbon Monoxide alarm was squeaking - low batteries this time. Pat has been busy changing the boat around for our guests arriving this afternoon. So we took our time leaving Godstow. The wind was quite strong trying to blow us off the bank, so Pat walked the boat round to the lock on the bow rope.
The stream at Osney is running fast as usual, but the moorings were empty save for a fellow Braidbar Boat (nb Hazel) so we had no problem mooring.
