Chloe needed a few things from a shop this morning. There is a small shop in the boatyard, but not well stocked. She was told that there was a shop about 1/4 mile away "up the road to the crossroads and turn right. Well it turned out to be Sleeple Ashton and .nearer a mile, but success. So we left a little later than usual. Clear blue sky to start the day but clouds soon appeared and a chilly breeze made it alternate between warm and cold. Again little traffic, so we made good time and returned to the same mooring as last week, right by the bridge. The mowers had been out making a good job of the towpath. We were amazed to see "our mooring" near bridge 208 had been given the treatment. This is a spot where years ago we were running out of time and also needing a TV signal so we had to moor against a bank with tall vegetation although with concrete piling and deep water. We cut the vegetation down with shears for our one boat length and thus it seems to have remained to this day. A one boat length tidy mooring. We tried sitting out this afternoon, but the intermittent cloud and chill wind took all the pleasure away. Another fine meal in the evening at the "Great Western Arms".
