We are back at Thrupp. We left Osney taking the Sheepwash Channel to Isis Lock and beyond. The canal was more attractive than I remember with mooring available in several places. The first lift bridge was causing a problem to a pair of hire boaters who couldn't unlock it. We struggled too, but eventially a way was found to do so by twiddling the key not in the expected way. We leap frogged the hire boat at the next bridge as they kindly kept it open for us and we were leapfrogged in turn as we stopped for lunch. Plenty of mooring at Thrupp once again. The weather has been kind today. Much less wind and warmer too. We were actually able to get the chairs out this afternoon and then the men visited "The Boat" for a couple of pints ater in the afternoon. Our host said that she is normally closed in the afternoon, but as the weather is getting warmer is now open. The place was deserted save for us and later a couple of dogs.
