A miserable start to the morning but it soon brightened up to an almost warm day with sunny spells. Common Moor Lock had a noticee to say that we were to leave it with both top gates open to assist with water management. Local info was that there had been some flooding here, though no signs today. Infact appearances were not generally unusual although there was a lot of water cascading over the bottom gates. No notices at Cassio or Ironbridge, but again a lot of water about and the top gates at Ironbridge were said to be very difficult to open on account of the flow. We never tried, but moored below for the night. Lots of people about, mostly with small children in tow, and of course dogs.
