Prospect of a warm summer day. We did three locks self service this morning, Pat acting as lock keeper for the last one as a boat joined us. Then at Molesey we stopped for a self service pump out. As always, the flushing water hose is too short to reach, so repeated buckets down the toilet was all we could manage. The river was busy with trip boats, the pseudo sternwheelers and paddlesteamers always seeming very popular. Please don't tell me that the public really believe that there are the real thing. There was plenty of room on the lock keepers moorings when we arrived at Teddington, but the spaces soon filled and it looks as if quite a few boats will be going down to Limehouse tomorrow. We may have to wait in the river for the lock when we arrive there. Then there will be loads wanting to moor, so we may well end up rafted out.
Hi Mike & Pat,
Looks like u have made excellent progress.
Looking forward to seeing you both on Sunday.
Lime house is fairly full at the mo with racing boats, so mooring could be interesting unless they are on the move.
Let me know what time would be good with u.
Lots of love
