We left Boston moorings in the rain. The wind was from the West and cold. We needed gloves. We left the view of the Boston Stump behind
and settled down to monotonous cruising between the high banks on a wide river. Notable landmarks were passed: Anton's Gowt - gives access to the navigable drains, Langrick Bridge with its moorings and chandlery, the entrance to Kyme Eau or Sleaford navigation and Tatershall Bridge with an empty pontoon mooring. Our target today was Kirkstead Bridge and there was, to our relief space becuase we were cold and glad for some warmth.
