While the south had grey skies and drizzle, Snowdonia had freezing cold almost gale force wind early in the day up at 600 feet. However the sun was seen from time to time and in sheltereed placess it didn't seem too bad. The air was slightly misty or smoky giving a sort of out of focus look to the scenery. Snow still remains in the mountains giving the area an alpine feel.
