We have now descended Tuel Lane lock and were helped down the following two by Lee and Darren, who we had met previously at the summit. Diesel, pump out and gas at Shire Cruisers. The much hyped Tuel Lane lock was a bit of an anticlimax really. The curved tunnel under the road junction was easily navigated. After descendng the two locks 1 and 2 we leave the Rochdale Canal and join the Calder and Hebble. Good moorings in the basin. In summary, a very short cruising day.
