The canal was reopened this afternoon. It takes a long time to refill a mile. BW did their bit and had pumps running higher up the canal. Even so, the pound was still a foot down. We were very thankful that we had the good fortune to be held up on the moorings of the "Colliers Arms" a Sam Smith pub with an excellent choice of beer and first rate menu. As we left it started to rain and stopped when we reached Brighouse.
