We left Galgate at 8:00 and reached Garstang by 10:50. Really a short day, but the journey seemed to take ages. So laid back we must have become. One thing I must mention about the Lancaster Canal is that there is no shortage of BW pump out machines, and they don't run out half way through a pump out. So we availed ourselves of the one at Garstang. Lots of sunshine today, but the bitterly cold wind persists. Nonetheless the chairs were out for lunch and afternoon drinks. Shopping also featured of course. We will be here for three nights, then a complicated set of manoeuvres to get Pat back to London for the day on Saturday and the boat positioned for the Ribble Link on Monday.
