Not far to go today so a late start. We dawdled along, partly by intent but also to pass lines of moorings. On arrival at Marple we found that the towpath moorings leading up to the junction were being upgraded and unavailable. However, there was just room for us along with two other boats just at the corner. We repaired to the Ring o'Bells for lunch. The Sunday roast was first class and there is an extensive a la carte menu on offer. I would put this in the top class of pub/restaurants. TV reception is now good on the short stub aerial, so I have folded the large aerial away in its cupboard to reduce roof clutter before the Ashton Canal and Manchester. Down Marple tomorrow.
