A lazy day. We left the mooring late at 7:45 and stopped at Congleton to have a look. Stopping by bridge 76 we went up the steps to the pub, then back over the main road bridge where we found a neat row of shops including a baker, a post office/newsagent and a farm shop. We aimed to be in position to get an early start up Bosley flight tomorrow, but found a good quiet mooring just after bridge 63 with beautiful views over the Cheshire plain and the pennines including the bit we wil climb tomorrow.
