Stoppage at Kings Sutton

From time to time things go wrong on the waterways.  The thing is that being waterways, rectification is not always straightforward and delays can sometimes be counted in days.  We have known about the stoppage at Kings Sutton for two days, so it is no surprise.  The gate seal had failed and requires major repairs, so the lock has been drained down with stop planks in place.  We left at 8:00 leaving nb Ernest at Aynho and have now joined nb Minihaha in the queue at the lock.  Bill and Ann are fellow Cutwebbers, so if John & Margaret join us here we will be able to have a mini-gig.
