Slight change of plan in as much as Gemma and Jordan, with us for the weekend were due to leave this Sunday to return to London, and to give Jordan (a waterway novice) a little taste of what it's about, we decided to do the Farmers Bridge flight this morning and position them to leave from Snow Hill station. We found out, bu the way what was going on under the arches by Snow Hill - it was Opera (would you believe). Sadly we missed it first hand, and by all accounts the experiment will not be repeated. Jordan under Gemma's tutilage soon got the hang of the locks and we were down in 1hour 15 minutes. After lunch they left and we needed to clear the conurbation to find a decent mooring for the night. So down the Aston Flight, much cleaned up since my previous visit last year, and on down the Birmingham & Fazeley Canal to Minworth where we stopped just short of the Wiggins Bridge by the Kingley Arms pub. (Can be a bit noisy on the pub side of the bridge.)
