It’s just the ring from Barby via Oxford, Limehouse, Regent and Grand Union. No big deal, but the boat got little use last year and now I will be single handing. So I don’t want problems. Of course there will always be something. I know that.
First job. Sweep the flue. All clear. Test fire and CO alarms.
2. I’ve had some trouble with pumpout. It transpired that there was a leak in the suction tube running from the tank to the gunnel fitting. You hear it hissing. Now sealed with a large blob of epoxy.
3. Check the engine and warm it up. Remove the link between the starter battery and the domestics, used to keep the former charged when boat not in use and on shore power.
4. Massive amount of rainwater has accumulated in the engine room side bilges. I guess that the drainage around the deck board is not up to the job. Needs the large wet vac to get it all out.
5. Retrieved the wind generator from storage on the boat and returned it to its roof fittings.
6 Replaced the security camera
7. New kettle
8. Tested yet another portable hand-held vacuum cleaner. Seems OK.
9. More measurements made on the rear sliding hatch. It needs the lining replacing, but it’s not a straightforward job.
