This was not down to me and the story was recorded in the travel blog. (See Congerstone 17 Nov 16) Suffice it to say, attempting to start off after an overnight stop, no starter. Checking the battery showed normal voltage. This has happened before and was traced back eventually to mud in the starter relay. This time the symptoms were similar! RCR were called out, diagnosed a failed motor and took the old starter motor away. Sourcing and fitting a new one did not initially solve the problem until the relay was changed (again). The old one had seized most likely blowing the relay up with excess current.
